Babel tower

I have been recently informed by a very close friend that Primark, the famous cheap clothes shop, (they have a huge one in Oxford St. London), has held interviews in Lisbon, to recruit staff for their imminent opening of the first shop in Portugal.

Primark, you might know is a Spanish company, held the interview at the Marques de Pombal 5 star hotel in the avenida da liberdade n. 243.

The interviewers, who were to recruit Portuguese to work for them, only spoke Spanish, and started the interview saying if you don’t understand me ask me to speak slower.

What is this about? Professionalism? Globalisation? Or just I don’t give a damn about the people I am talking to… like I go to China and hold interviews in Japanese, if I speak too fast and you don’t understand me you can ask me to repeat.

Thank you Primark for this new lesson in FuckTheWorld.
